Market House - An Atlas Boutique Hotel — Pesach Above the Jaffa Flea Market
Market House is an Atlas boutique hotel at the edge of the Jaffa flea market, built over the remains of a Byzantine chapel that is visible through a glass floor in the lobby. It is characterful, well run and right in the middle of one of the best parts of the city to wander. Kosher Travel Finder lists it as a hotel option over Pesach.
The Flea Market, Old Jaffa and the Port The Jaffa flea market is immediately outside, with Old Jaffa, the clock tower and the port a few minutes' walk and Neve Tzedek and the Tel Aviv promenade a little further north. Over Chol Hamoed the whole area is walkable and full of things to look at.
Byzantine Remains and Atlas Comfort Rooms are comfortable and contemporary, and the hotel's calling card is the excavated chapel beneath the lobby. There is a lounge and terrace; there is no pool. It suits couples and small families who want character and position over facilities.
