What we list here today

Straight answer first: we do not yet carry bookable year-round hotel rooms in Israel. Our Israeli inventory is currently the Pesach programs — 65 of them, with the rav hamachshir and a price band on each — and the year-round side is handled by our free quote service rather than by a table on this page.

So use this page for two things. Read what follows to work out where you want to be and what to check before booking anywhere. Then either tell us your dates and we will come back with properties that match, or look at Pesach in Israel if the trip is over yom tov after all. Both are free, and neither costs you anything if you book elsewhere.

Why year-round Israel is the best value in kosher travel

The properties are largely the same ones that host Pesach and Sukkot programs. The kitchens are the same. The supervision is the same. What changes is the price, and it changes dramatically — a hotel that costs $900 a night per person inside a yom tov program routinely costs $300 a night in November.

If your family can travel outside the chagim, that is the largest single saving available anywhere in kosher travel, and it is why this page exists alongside the Pesach programs.

Where to stay

The coast — Herzliya, Netanya, Tel Aviv. Beach, marina, and the centre of the country within easy reach. The most convenient base for touring in every direction.

Jerusalem. For proximity to the Old City and the Kotel. Hotels range from large international properties to small boutique ones, and almost everything is within reach of a shul.

The Galilee and the Golan. Space, greenery and spa properties, often at noticeably better value than the coast. Best in spring and autumn.

The Dead Sea. Resort hotels built around the treatments and the water. Warm long into the shoulder seasons.

Eilat. Guaranteed heat, the Red Sea and diving. A self-contained holiday at the far south.

What to check

• The specific hashgacha, not simply that the hotel is in Israel. Rabbanut and mehadrin are different standards.
• Shabbat arrangements — lift, keys, meals, and whether there is a minyan on site or a shul in walking distance.
• Whether catering is full board or breakfast only. Many Israeli hotels include a substantial breakfast and nothing else, which changes the real cost of the week considerably.
• Cholov yisroel and pas yisroel, if you keep them. Widely available, not universal.
