Panama Kosher Adventures Passover Program at Playa Blanca
For Pesach 2027 the Costa Rica Kosher Adventures team takes its programme to Panama, to the Playa Blanca Hotel & Resort on the Pacific Riviera in Cocle, about a two-hour drive west of Panama City. CRKA take over the whole property for the holiday and put up an eruv for Shabbat, so the resort is entirely kosher. Rooms have balconies or terraces facing the sea, the pool or the garden, and the resort has pools and waterslides, a spa, an amphitheatre, beach volleyball, a gym, and water sports including kayaking, paddleboard and flyboard.
10 days and 9 nights, 21-30 April 2027, with an optional pre-night on 20 April and an optional post-programme stay from 30 April to 2 May. The package covers all meals, both Seders and snacks, the on-site synagogue and daily minyanim, shiurim, kids' camp on Shabbat and Yom Tov, airport and hotel transfers, full use of the resort facilities and guided Chol Hamoed trips. All taxes, tips, fees and gratuities are included.
Alongside the main dining room, CRKA are running three specialty restaurants in 2027: fish, vegetarian and vegan, and an Italian coffee house, prepared in separate meat and dairy kitchens.
Guided days out may include Panama City (Casco Viejo, Monkey Island, the Panama Canal and an Embera village) and the Valley of Anton (waterfall hike, butterfly house, craft market, zip-line, e-bikes, rappelling and the zoo).
All food is Glatt Kosher LePesach, Gebrochts and Chalav Yisrael, and the programme is non-Kitniyot. All wine is Mevushal and Shmura Matza is available. Supervision is under Rabbi David Eshkenazi, Rabbinic Coordinator for Vaad HaKashrut Shevet Ahim, Panama.
This runs in parallel with CRKA's Costa Rica programme over the same dates. Prices are per room, to a maximum of 4 people: $12,000 for 2, $13,000 for 3 and $14,000 for 4; a single is $9,000. Airfare and optional tours are extra.
