Costa Rica Kosher Adventures Passover Program at Rio Perlas

Costa Rica Kosher Adventures (CRKA) has been running Glatt Kosher travel in Costa Rica since 1994. For Pesach 2027 the programme moves inland to the Rio Perlas Resort & Spa, a 59-room property in the Orosi Valley within easy reach of San Jose. The Perlas River runs through the grounds and the resort is wrapped in rain and cloud forest. Earlier CRKA Pesach programmes were held on the Pacific coast at Playa Panama, so check the venue before you book.

10 days and 9 nights, 21-30 April 2027, with an optional pre-night on 20 April and an optional post-programme stay from 30 April to 2 May. The package covers all meals, both Seders and snacks, the on-site synagogue and daily minyanim, Daf Yomi and shiurim, kids' camp on Shabbat and Yom Tov, airport transfers from San Jose (SJO), full use of the pools and resort facilities, and two and a half days of guided Chol Hamoed touring. All taxes, tips, fees and gratuities are included.

Included excursions take in a national park, a zip-line adventure, rafting, the Aqua Caliente hot springs and a beach day, alongside guided nature walks, bird and wildlife watching, and a naturalist and ecologist lecture series. Water sports, ATV and horseback riding can be pre-arranged.

All food is Glatt Kosher LePesach and Gebrochts, prepared in separate meat and dairy kitchens. All products are Glatt Kosher and yoshon, all wine is Mevushal, and Shmura Matza and Cholov Yisroel products are available on request. All cheeses are cholov yisrael; milk in Costa Rica is cholov akum, so ask in advance if you need cholov yisrael milk. Supervision is under the local Centro Israelita and the Chief Rabbi of Costa Rica, Rabbi Yitzchak Prober.

Prices are per room, to a maximum of 4 people: $11,500 for 2, $13,000 for 3 and $14,500 for 4; a single is $9,500. Airfare and optional tours are extra.
