The British Isles Odyssey
An eleven-day voyage from Portsmouth around the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Scottish islands to Oban, aboard the all-suite MS Hebridean Sky, which carries 118 guests. The small ship is the point: it reaches harbours and islands the large cruise lines cannot enter.
The ship is chartered in full for the group. Rabbi Stewart Weiss leads the Shabbat programming and Torah shiurim through the voyage, and Dr. Henry M. Abramson, Dean of Lander College for Men at Touro University, sails as resident historian and lecturer. Shabbat is spent docked in Dublin, with havdalah as the ship sails on towards Belfast.
Kosher River Cruise's published standard is Glatt Kosher throughout, with all meat glatt, all dairy cholov yisroel and pas yisroel for all breads and cakes. They name no outside certifying agency - meals are prepared and supervised by their own kosher chefs under head chef Malcolm Green - so confirm the supervision with them directly before booking.
